In other words, eat shit and die Monster Cables.
What’s funny to me is how often CNET, Home Theater mags and other publications have to keep repeating this. Cables are cables, folks. A little shielding can help, but gold-plated, lemur-fur-encased, kevlar coated cables aren’t going to give you jack except a bigger hole in your pocket.
It does make a...

too late. i done watched all three parts.
I’m so happy they went with Mangina.
Doctor Doom is also an asshole
You know what I hate most about comics?
Deus Ex fucking Machina.
Don’t misunderstand, it’s one of my favorite mediums ever, but, DAMN they can do some annoying freaking crap.
For example: “Great Zeus’ Bearded Clam! It’s a the inter-dimensional, soul-ripping, Existence Ender!” But, look out, Reed fucking Richards has a doohicky he’ll use to align the...

Louis Theroux is a British journalist who specializes in documentaries of deeply weird people, none of which have been released on American television, sad to say, because they look pretty funny. If your focus is on the weird, the creepy, the borderline insane, you are naturally drawn to the odious Phelps family and their despicable Westboro Baptist Church in...

this is the most upset with you i’ve ever been.
Yeah. But then we’ll go read The Preather or Y: The Last Man and realize that hero books are past their prime anyway.

When I was 16 we played a redneck reception with a hooch (puregrain and fruit) fountain. Bride and Groom had to bail us out of jail on their way to honeymoon. We passed out on her dress. Thought it was a bean bag. Cool story bro.
I think grain liquor and fruit is a staple of a redneck wedding. At the one I...
I once attended a wedding ...
A friend of a friend was getting hitched. My friend was going and I decided to tag along - free booze at the reception!
It was a justice of the peace ceremony, besides the couple getting married, my friend, another guy and myself were witnesses. After they said their “I dos” at the JoP’s house, we headed to the local VFW hall they had rented out for the reception.
We all piled...
Thanks errbody!
Just moved a buttload of stuff upstairs. I think the water’s moving slow enough that we have at least another day or two to prep. I hate to think that we might flood, but I feel good about the time we have to prepare.
The tornadoes and storms have moved on,
But now the real fun starts.
See, the Mississippi is still rising. Which is causing the area rivers, streams and creeks that feed into the Mississippi to rise. One of those is just about a mile south of my neighborhood.
It’s creeping slowly, but it’s coming. The Mississippi is already above flood stage and is projected to rise another 10 feet.
We wait and wonder.
I want to be able to do some of the things I used...
More importantly, I’d like to stop feeling so bad about it.
Visible breath this morning. What the hell,...

About 95% of my WwF games disappeared last night.
So if I don’t play you or something else odd happens, that’s why.
If you guys wanna game - I’m Skullen on WwF; CullenJ on Wordfeud (which is really my preference, WwF is far too buggy).
Thanks for all the well wishes.
We’re on the lookout.
Getting busy.
Not getting busy, but busy. Gonna start moving some stuff upstairs. The culvert behind the house is starting to fill up with water pretty darn high. It’s time to start moving things up that we don’t want to lose in case we do happen to flood.

it took me longer to come around on Tennant than most people it seems (well until now, with your lukewarm status)
I really liked him at first, but he wore on me after a while. It’s mostly to do with the scripts - the last half of the last season was terrible. But some of his eps...

Be careful out there Memphians.

I have had to apologize twice for things that I had nothing to do with.

Very Superstitious
I do not generally believe in things superstitious, yet I still find myself doing very superstitious things. Primarily, I have a problem speaking about certain things for fear that talking about them too much will give it power.
Specifically, we are facing a flooding situation similar to what we dealt with last year. Now, I don’t mind talking about it in the abstract. I’ll talk about...

Awesome.
The apartment I live in was flooded a year ago during what they called a “100 year flood”.
Last year’s was a 1,000-year flood. Almost double what a 100-year flood dumps. I really hope we don’t get that kind of rain again. That was just crazy.
