My first barbecue event of the year is March 17

Less than a month away!

I can’t wait. I got the confirmation phone call tonight. However, this will be a first for me. Instead of judging the event I will be working the turn-in table. 

There are pros and cons, well con, to this. The con is that you have to judge a certain amount of events to become a master judge, so this is one less event to add to that number. The pros include ingratiating myself with the area “barbecue elite,” getting to see another side of a barbecue event, getting to hit the “grazing table” instead of just the samples given to my table, and getting to see all the barbecue teams.
